Studio of Michael Matthew is a collaboration of work between two brothers: John Michael and James Matthew. They both went, and graauted, from the Arts Institut of California - San Francisco with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design. While John has branced of to doing Interior Architecture, James has jump fields and is now pursuing a career in UI Design.

Both brothers are passionate problem solvers and creative thinkers. Driven to understand people, brands, and organizations to find the values for your design. Significant knowledge of emerging trends in technology and how to use them to achieve client success.

Currently working at Mena Architects as a Job Captain

Consult with clients on function and quality improvement of a space. Develop programming according to requirements and desires for space planning and design analysis of clients. Create CAD and Illustrator drawings. Produce conceptual drawings to illustrate the design approach for clients’ approval. Provide cost estimates, specifications, and material selections and finishes. Prepare perspective color renderings to scale, showing specified furniture, finishes and equipment including lighting.

CAD Skills consist of creating Construction Documents for New Construction or Remodels. These documents are used for obtaining building permits. Capable of doing Field Measurements or taking Field Notes to generate a plan to work with. Attend HOA Hearings to submit proposals and attain permits. Visit building departments to determine building scopes and/or criteria.
